We found an excellent Belgian chocolate at a reasonable price in Trader Joes (><Whole Food: $8 for chocolate pieces!).The chocolate is made in Antwerpen and has 4 varieties: milk, 72% dark chocolate, chocolate with almonds and bittersweet chocolate. This chocolate is made with cacao butter and not other substitutes, definitely you taste the difference!

You know, before moving to the U.S. I had never heard of Belgian chocolate… (and, yes, I’ve been a resident of planet Earth before moving to the U.S. but then, I was living close to Swizterland, so there you have it)

We may not be able to satisfy your desire for Cote d’Or, but you should know our name – Galler, official supplier of chocolate to the Belgian Royal Court. We now have a store in the US and import our pralines and other chocolates regularly from Belgium.

We know very well Jean Galler artisanal chocolate. They are among the best artisanal Belgian chocolate! Unfortunately, they are not yet available in the Bay Area stores. When do you plan to open a store here?

There’s a real Belgian chocolat store in Beverly Hills.
It’s called Chocolatt from belgium and is owned by Tarcis from Oost(of west) Vlaanderen.

Keep an eye out for World Market…it’s another store that carries Belgian chocolates. Also, local German markets should carry some as well.

Sorry to delay the reply. We have been readying for a fresh shipment from Belgium.
Unfortunately, we do not anticipate opening a store in the Bay Area soon. We are concentrating on the Eastern seaboard first for additional retail store expansion. However, we do ship across the country using insulated boxes with cold packs. We have had a great deal of success so long as the shipments are two-day or next-day air.
